This page contains information on land use and development proposals for Unincorporated Johnson County. (Proposals within incorporated areas are reviewed by the adjacent city.) The list of TZB and BZA Applications includes rezoning, Conditional Use Permit, Preliminary and Final Development Plans, Preliminary and Final Plats, variance, and appeal applications which are pending before the seven Township Zoning Boards (TZB) and the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). The TZB and BZA Applications are followed by BOCC Cases Pending. The applications included in this list have been previously considered by a TZB or the BZA, and are scheduled for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). The Application Number consists of three components. The first component is an abbreviation for the township where the proposal is located. The second component of the Application Number indicates the application type. The application type is explained in the text immediately following the Application Number. "BZA" is the application type designated to both variances and appeals. These applications are considered by the Board of Zoning Appeals, regardless of the township in which they are located. All other applications are reviewed by the appropriate Township Zoning Board, as indicated in the first component of the Application Number. The third and final component of the Application Number is the case number, which is sequentially assigned to new applications. |
